FACESofCHANGE is a BigReach Learning project and a personal passion for founder Maura Hanley
I have a passion for discovery and am endlessly curious about a great many things. What preoccupies me most is understanding what is happening in digital media and how change is impacting the way people think and act. I also love to solve problems. The problem I have spent most of my career on is “how can a brand most effectively and efficiently reach a consumer with a message that will result in more business”. But it isn’t enough to understand the relationships between media, people and brands. I want to tell a compelling story – to simplify the complex and share insights and implications.
FACESofCHANGE is about understanding the relationships between media, people and brands and addressing the need to tell a compelling story.
We have done ourselves a disservice separating medium and message, channel planning and creative development, quantitative and qualitative research. After all, audience size or composition doesn’t tell us how engaged people are in content or what they will notice or remember. Syndicated media and product usage studies don’t reveal what motivates us to buy. Insights gained into the hearts and minds of people by talking to them must no longer apply only to what we say to consumers, but when and where.
The FACESofCHANGE synthesis approach to research gives us the whole picture. Nothing compares to the power of video to communicate feelings and ideas. By capturing what people say and how they say it on video, we have a wealth of compelling information to share. By aligning that video content with statistics, we have the facts needed to support marketing investments. Today’s asset management technology enables us to synthesize and deliver results. FACESof CHANGE is designed to answer the questions you have about the relationships between media, people and brands.
We are happy to share the learning from our launch study where we talked to Canadian students age 18 to 24. We would love to talk to you about participating in upcoming projects.
